KOLLAM: The police have come forward with more revelation on the incident in which a woman was found dead in an abandoned railway building. It has been proved that the woman died during rape attempt by accused Nazu. Police said the incident is a murder and he stole the girl's mobile phone and money after the incident.

The body of the woman from Keralapuram, who went missing on December 29, was found in a decomposed state in an abandoned railway building at Chemmam Mukku. The accused Nazu brought her here tactfully from Kollam beach and tried to rape her. She died while resisting the rape attempt.

Nazu after taken into custody told police that she died after developing seizure while they engaged in sex. The accused admitted during interrogation that he had inflicted injuries on her body so that not to know that death happened while she was with him. This was to make it appear that someone else had killed her. The primary conclusion of the doctor is that she died after food good stuck in her trachea. There were bruises on both sides of her head and chest.

Her phone was seized from Nazu during vehicle inspection by the Kottiyam police on New Year's Eve. Nazu told the police then that he got the phone from the beach. The police who called from her phone got her home. With this, the police released him after seizing the phone. However, after her body was found, took him into custody.
