NEW DELHI: Mallikarjun Kharge, president of the congress made a rejoinder to Amit shah's Ram mandir comment that the union minister revealed from the podium in Tripura. Kharge riled up questions and said it is not Amit shah but the temple authorities who should reveal the date of Ram Mandir's completion. The Congress veteran pulled back no punches when he ridiculed Amit shah for being a nobody to comment on issues regarding Ram mandir and instead asked the union minister to concentrate on issues concerning the security of the nation.

Yesterday in Sabroom, Amit shah while flagging off the rath yatra made public the date of Ram mandir completion as January 1. It ignited many talks across the political spectrum. It was only days before that the secretary of Ramajanmabhoomi acknowledged the Rahul Gandhi-led Bharath Jodo yatra which is to be considered triggered shah to reveal the date of mandir completion. Shah was the first of any minister from the Modi cabinet to publicly reveal the date of the much-disputed Ayodhya Ram mandir.
