TRIVANDRUM: The very first Arattuzha Velayudha panicker foundation award has been conferred on Gokulam group chairman, Gokulam Gopalan. A function is arranged on January 9th at 4 pm at Arattupuzha Jnaneshwara temple. Veteran Actor S Devan will give the Award which includes prize money of Rs 25000 and a memento. Member of Parliament A . A . Arif will inaugurate the event which includes big names such as Ramesh Chenithala and poet Murugan Kattakada. Cinematographer Shaji Kumar who wielded the camera for the film 19am nootandu will be felicitated. The movie was a biography of Arattupuzha Velayudha Paniker, the first renaissance leader of Kerala whose valiant role in curbing down the archetypal caste atrocities is eulogized.
