KOLLAM: A complaint has been lodged with the police that CITU workers thrashed an owner of supermarket here for disallowing alcohol consumption. Shan, the owner of Union Corp Super Mart, is the complainant. The incident happened around 3 pm yesterday.

Shan forbade a CITU activist to drink behind the shop. As per the complaint, the workers came in numbers to the supermarket and beat him up.

The footage of CITU activists beating Shan and kicking him to the ground has emerged. The police informed that all the accused persons will be arrested soon.
