BENGALURU: The Directorate General of Aviation (DGCA) has sought a report from Go First flight for taking off without carrying 50 passengers. The DGCA said that it would look into the incident and take appropriate action after receiving the report.
Flight G8 116, which took off from Bangalore's Kempegowda airport at 6.20 am on Monday morning, did not carry 50 passengers who had tickets. Passengers tagged Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Twitter and filed several complaints.
Passengers were brought in four buses to board the plane. But the plane took off before the passengers on the last bus arrived. This error occurred after passengers' boarding passes were issued and the baggage clearance. Four hours later, these passengers were taken on another flight that left at ten o'clock.
