THODUPUZHA: 14 people got injured after a van carrying Sabarimala pilgrims met with an accident near Kaduvapara in the Peruvanthanam region of Idukki. The injured ones hail from Bellary in Karnataka. The accident occurred at 6:30 pm near a turn, where the force-traveler van with the Ayyapa devotees skidded past the cliff edge to go down. No injury is said to be serious. Following the emergency, the Mundakayyam-Kutikkanam road saw a heavy rush in traffic. The police are putting efforts to make the stagnant traffic move.
