KUPWARA: Three personnel were killed after an army vehicle skidded and fell into a gorge at Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir. Three soldiers including a junior commissioned officer were killed in Machil of Kupwara in Kashmir. The vehicle skidded off the road and fell into the gorge.

The incident happened during a regular operation task and the bodies of the three have been retrieved, informed spokespersons of the army. North India has been witnessing heavy snowfall in general for the past few days. The accident in Kashmir was following this.

The Chinar corps of the army, in a tweet, said the mortal remains of the soldiers have been retrieved.
