KOTTAYAM: Minister VN Vasavan has come out in support of culinary expert Mohanan Namboothiri in connection with the controversy that erupted regarding the food served in Kalolsavam. The minister said that he is a person who upholds human welfare and morality and the state government is with him.

Vasavan's reaction was when he came to Pazhayidom Mohanan Namboothiri's residence as part of the CPM home visit. The minister informed that he hopes that Pazhayidom will think with a good heart about returning to Kalolsavam.

However, Mohanan Namboothiri clarified that it is not time to talk about returning to Kalolsavam. Pazhayidom added that he doesn't see Vasavan as a government representative but as an elder brother.
