THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A fight broke out at a hotel after a group got angered by a person looking into their food. The incident took place at Makam Hotel at Udiankulangara Junction in Parassala at around 6 pm on Wednesday.

A group of three who were drunk were eating at the hotel. An altercation broke out between them and people seated opposite after they allegedly looked into the trio's food. The fight between the group and the people seated opposite-Arun and his Parassala native friend, finally came to blows. Arun was injured after he was hacked with a machete/

As the conflict was taken to the road, there was a traffic jam for several hours. The pink police came to the spot after learning about the incident and seized the machete from the assailants. Following this, the group of drunkards abused the police. Pink Police then contacted Parassala police but they reached the spot after hours. Later, the police arrested the accused.
