NEW DELHI: Shankar Mishra, the man accused of urinating on a female passenger on an Air India flight, has made a new revelation in the court. In the Delhi court, the accused argued that he did not urinate on the woman but that she urinated on herself on the seat.
Shankar Mishra's bail plea was rejected by the court the other day. The plea was rejected on the grounds that it was not right to grant bail in the context of the ongoing investigation. The complaint against Shankar Mishra is that he urinated on a 70-year-old female passenger in the business class of the New York-Delhi flight.
The incident took place on November 26. A complaint was lodged with the police on December 28. Action was taken after the 70-year-old wrote a letter to Air India group chairman N Chandrasekaran. The letter stated that another passenger came close to the seat and urinated while she was preparing to sleep after turning off the light on the plane.
