KOCHI: Police on Friday took Sajeevan, the accused in the Edavanakkad murder case, to his house to collect evidence. Sajeevan, who told the police that he killed his wife Ramya following a quarrel, added that he did the crime alone.

The police brought Sajeevan to his house at 12 noon. Sajeevan showed the police how he strangled Ramya to death using a rope on the terrace of the house. After committing the murder, he covered Ramya's body with a plastic cover. He also burned the rope used for the murder. He dug a pit on the premises of the house and buried the body at night.

Sajeevan killed Ramya on August 16, 2021, following a quarrel. The police said that at first, they could not suspect Sajeev in Ramya's missing complaint.
