PATNA: The luxury cruise ship MV Ganga Vilas got stuck on its maiden journey in Chhapra in Bihar. The cruise got stuck near Chirand Saran temple because of the water deficiency in the Ganges. The passengers were also unable to reach the shores. Finally, the SDRF team reached the spot and rescued the tourists.

Ganga Vilas, the world’s longest river cruise was flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The journey which started from Varanasi will cover through 27 river systems and will end in Dibrugarh in Assam.

Rs 20 lakh is the ticket rate per person. Although the ticket costs lakhs, the authorities informed that booking is full till March next year. Booking is only possible after April 2024.

According to reports, only vegetarian Indian dishes and non-alcoholic beverages will be served on the ship. This moving palace also has facilities including a gym. 62-meter-long ship was built completely in India. The ship has three decks and eighteen suites and can accommodate 36 people. The cost per day ranges from Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000.
