VYPIN: A youth was beaten to death by his father-in-law and brother-in-law in Elamkunnapuzha beach. The deceased is South Puthuvype native Bibin Babu (34).

Bibin Babu, who used to regularly go to his wife's house and causes problems, attacked his father-in-law Satheesan (50) and son Vishnu (28) on Tuesday afternoon. However, Bibin suffered a serious injury when they defended his attack. Although the Njarackal police soon reached the spot and rushed Bibin to the hospital, he died on the way. The body was later shifted to Ernakulam General Hospital Mortuary. Satheesan and Vishnu, who were injured in the beating, are undergoing treatment at the General Hospital under police surveillance.

Bibin's wife Minimol was at her home in Elamkunnapuzha beach following quarrels and beatings in the husband's house. Both the children are living with her. They were also at home when the incident took place. It is said that Bibin came to Minimol's house to take the children back. The police said that the cause of death was a blow on the head with an iron rod.
