NEW DELHI: BJP is preparing a strategy in Kerala to strengthen the party work and NDA front by eliminating the divisive voice in the organization. The party is making moves to win at least five Lok Sabha seats in Kerala this time by securing the support of the Christian community and other backward sections and expanding the NDA front. Prakash Javadekar's response in Delhi yesterday indicates this.
Javadekar said in Delhi that the BJP is continuing its discussions with various parties to expand the NDA front. He said an announcement in this regard will be made soon. It is learned that the party is making moves targeting some Christian organizations for front expansion. The party assessed the visit of the BJP leaders and workers to the Christian homes on the last Christmas day as a great achievement. As a continuation of that, Christian families are preparing a feast for Vishu at the homes of BJP workers. As a continuation of that, BJP workers would be hosting feasts for Christian families during Vishu at their houses. Prakash Javadekar claims that the BJP has 35,000 Christian workers in Kerala.
After Prakash Javadekar became the in-charge of the Kerala unit, the national leadership's move to curb factionalism within the Kerala unit of the party has succeeded to some extent. Javadekar, who publicly stated that reports which claimed that K Surendran will be removed from the post of BJP state president were baseless, also managed to get the core committee's public approval for his announcement. With this, he was able to send a strong message regarding party discipline in the organization. Apart from enabling organizational action to win elections by giving the message to the ranks that the BJP is a united party, the BJP also aims to strengthen the National Democratic Alliance. The party is making strategies accordingly.
