KALPETTA: A tiger killed a youth who went to collect firewood with his friends in HD Kote, Karnataka. The incident took place around 12 pm on Sunday at Bellihadi near Nagarhole forest. Manju (18), a native of HD Kote taluk and son of Kala and Pushpa couple, had been killed. A tiger attacked him while he was walking on the road. Manju's head was split open by the tiger. His friends ran away when they saw the tiger. Manju's body was dragged about 15 meters into the forest. He was seriously injured and died on the spot. The body was shifted to HD Kote Taluk Hospital Mortuary. On the 12th, a man named Thomas alias Salu was killed in a tiger attack in Puthuserry in Wayanad's Mananthavady.
