KOTTAYAM: A thief who broke into an empty house to steal returned after a shave and then ate the cashews kept in the fridge. The incident happened in Vaikkom. His visuals have been captured in the CCTV. He entered the house after breaking it open. He had a small spade in his hand.

Though he entered the house, he did not find anything to steal. There were signs of him sitting in the bed and eating cashew nuts kept in the fridge. After finding hair all over the room, the police assume that the thief may have left after a shave.

Clothes in the room were all messed up. The police got visuals of the thief roaming around a house nearby. Some of the things kept outside this house were found stolen.
