chinjurani-about-milk-sei

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister J Chinjurani and the health department earlier this month engaged in a war of words over the adulterated milk seized in the Aryankavu check post. Now, the minister is back again to make it a certitude that the seized 15330-liter milk had in it the presence of hydrogen peroxide. The minister of animal husbandry informed the same in the assembly and asserted that the department holds all new technologies and needed essentials to check the presence of bacteria in the seized milk or any other content.

The new statements from the minister come at a time when the health department had denied any sort of bacteria present in the seized milk from Aryankavu. With the passage of time, the hydrogen peroxide and the catalyst formed will turn to oxygen and water. So, if the test goes delayed, the results will show a difference. The minister also informed that a new system will be put in place to check the bacterial presence in meat and egg transported across the borders. Before the festive season in Kerala begins, labs will be started across the check post to do the required test. The move to appoint a dairy development official to deputation as a food security officer in check post is under consideration, the minister informed.
