THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Thursday announced a 100-day action plan in connection with the second anniversary of the LDF government. The first action plan will start tomorrow. Speaking at a press conference, the Chief Minister said that projects worth Rs 15896.03 crores will be completed in 100 days. The state-level inauguration of the 100-day program will be held with the foundation stone laying ceremony of 400 houses that will be built in Muttathara as part of the Punargeham project. Under the Punargeham project, keys to nearly a thousand homes will be handed in various districts within a hundred days.
"On May 20th, the Left Democratic Front government will complete two years after coming to power for the second consecutive term. The government aims to realize the sustainable development model by implementing the 900 promises made in the manifesto. The government is trying to create modern employment opportunities in Kerala for the next generation. For that, steps are being taken to transform Kerala into a knowledge economy and innovation society," the CM said.
"The government has created a specific 100-day action plan by incorporating areas that demand special attention. Two 100-day action plans have been completed in the state within one and a half years. We are now intending to implement the third 100-day action plan on the occasion of the second anniversary. A total of 1284 projects have been included as part of the 100-day action plan. The government is targeting to create 4,33,644 job opportunities through this action plan. Background development programs have also been included as part of the programme," the CM added.
