NEW DELHI: KPCC chief K Sudhakaran slammed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for the increase in taxes announced in the budget. Sudhakaran said that after imposing a liability of Rs 4000 crore on the people, the chief minister is not even bothered to reduce a single rupee. Talking to the media in Delhi, he said the chief minister had failed before the people.

Sudhakaran said the Silver Line project and the sprinkler scam are examples of this. Massive protests organized by the UDF people helped to bring this dictator to his knees. Pinarayi will have to withdraw the tax burden imposed on the people in the budget. The Congress and the UDF will lead protests until the goal is achieved.

The chief minister disrespects the protests, media and public agitations. As Pinarayi said in 2000, not a single person should pay the increased taxes. Congress will protect them if action is taken against them. Sudhakaran alleged that the government and the party are collecting money from people for corruption and luxury.
