THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The condition of former chief minister Oommen Chandy being treated at Neyyattinkara NIMS Hospital for pneumonia, has returned to normal condition, said his doctor Dr Manju Thampy. The medical board of NIMS Medicity had confirmed this. The medical board of the government has also confirmed this, said the doctor of NIMS hospital.

He has completely been cured of pneumonia. He has no fever and has started talking normally. He has started reading the newspapers. There is no obstacle in transferring him to another hospital for further treatment and this has been informed to him and his family members. Now waiting for their decision. The doctor said Chandy and his family will decide on which hospital to be transferred.

A special medical board comprising doctors from various departments of the medical college and RCC examined him yesterday. The medical team had also informed his family members that in the present situation, need not shift him to Bengaluru. Shafi Parambi MLA and UDF convener M M Hasan had visited Chandy.
