NAGPUR: Indian skipper Rohit Sharma batted a crucial 100 in the Nagpur test after the Australian team alleged the pitch is doctrined to favor turners. The pitch is slowish and is titling on the side of spinners who kept a clean display with wickets pouring during the first day. Apart from the lone valor of the skipper, the rest of the batting line-up stumbled before debuting off-spinner Todd Murphy. Murphy grabbed a three-wicket start while four Indian batsmen returned back to the pavilion without making a mark.
T20I top-ranked Suryakumar Yadav debuted in test cricket, but all hopes were dashed after Nathan Lyon dismissed him early on. Meanwhile Murphy’s debut is celebrated as the youngster has in his kitty the wickets of test connoisseur Pujara and former India skipper Virat Kohli. While wickets were easily going down on the other side, Rohit Sharma made his composure to level a fight scoring 100 in 171 balls.
