NEW DELHI: The Union government has appointed four new chief justices to High Courts in the country. The president has issued an order regarding the same. Senior Justice Sonia Gokani will be the women chief justice of the Gujarat high court. Justice Jaswant Singh will be the chief Justice of Tripura High Court. Justice Sandip Mehta will be the new Guwahati high court chief while Justice N Kotishwar Singh has been appointed the chief justice of the high court of J and K and Ladakh.
Meanwhile, the appointment of Kerala high court chief justice K Vinod Chandran remains ambiguous. Justice K Vinod Chandran has been speculated to take charge as Patna high court chief justice but the order got delayed for reasons unknown.
