KOLLAM: A woman committed suicide by jumping in front of a train with her one-year-old son. Sreelakshmi and her son Suraj, natives of Paravur, died. The incident happened around 4:30 pm today. Sreelakshmi jumped in front of the Thiruvananthapuram-bound Netravathi Express with her baby.

The train's loco pilot informed the police. Based on the information provided by the loco pilot, the police reached the spot and shifted the body to Paripally Medical College Hospital. Police have started an investigation into the incident.
