PEERUMEDU: Chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said many superstitions that eulogized misogynistic practices have been dashed with the emergence of science. The CM was inaugurating the 35th Kerala science congress in Kuttikanam Mar Baseilous Christian college. Pinarayi further praised the event and made hope about those ingenious ideas and talks emanating from the Science congress assisting in the development and progress of the state.
“Our country was once mired in superstition of all sorts. It required a Yeoman's work to break all those beliefs, to pave way for the renaissance. Kerala towers in that fight and is a forte for its belief in science and progress” the chief minister said.
CM then brought into the topic, the government-initiated plans to make the classes rooms go high-tech. Also mentioned was the slow ascend in the higher education sector in Kerala which is now getting accolades for its progress. The latest budget also gave Rs 3500 crore for the upending of the educational sector in Kerala.
The Kerala science congress will end tomorrow and the entry is free for all.
