PATHANAMTHITTA: The A group leaders of the district will boycott the party programs demanding the withdrawal of the suspension of former DCC president Babu George. A group will not participate in UDF's round-the-clock strike against tax hikes starting today. The A group meeting led by former DCC presidents K Shivdasan Nair, P Mohan Raj, and Babu George decided to stay away from party events. The former presidents informed the leadership of KPCC and DCC that they will not accept the action of suspending Babu George.

According to the A group leaders, the protest including kicking open the door of the DCC office took place because KPCC General Secretary Pazhakulam Madhu spoke angrily at the DCC meeting held last week. All three former presidents walked out of the DCC restructuring meeting. Past presidents had made several complaints to the KPCC regarding the party's reorganization. Following this, the A group leaders say that an inquiry commission consisting of AA Shukur and G Subodhan was appointed but no action was taken.
