ration

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Food items will delivered to homes for those who cannot come to ration shops, including the bed-ridden patients, with the help of autorickshaw drivers. The aim is to deliver ration to everyone through 'Oppam' scheme of Civil Supplies Department. It will be delivered within the first 10 days of every month. There is no special charge for this service. Auto drivers will be rewarded with a fixed amount. This is also a model of direct delivery of ration goods to Adivasi villages. Delivery will be done by taking receipt from the card holders. The e-POS will then be recorded in the machine under the supervision of the rationing inspector. State level inauguration of the scheme will be held at 2.30 pm today in Thrissur by Minister G.R. Anil.
