THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Lashing out at Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, KPCC president K Sudhakaran on Monday said that Pinarayi Vijayan has become a public nuisance for the people of Kerala.

"It is a shame that the Chief Minister, who used to boast so much about his bravery, is unable to go to the streets without police escort. The Chief Minister is butchering the freedom to protest and respond in a democracy. Kerala has never seen such a Chief Minister who is afraid of even the shadow," Sudhakaran said.

"Congress and KSU are unable to organize even conferences in those districts where the Chief Minister is attending any public event. Even the public is not allowed to wear black coloured dresses. The police are searching and detaining Youth Congress workers and putting them in preventive detention so as to prepare a smooth journey for the CM. The things police are doing for the CM are unheard of even in times of emergency," Sudhakaran added.
