NEW DELHI: Jamaat-e-Islami has revealed that it held talks with the RSS leadership. The discussion was held with the leaders of RSS in New Delhi on January 14. It was Jamaat-e-Islami general secretary T Arif Ali who revealed this in an interview the other day. He also said that it was former Election Commissioner SY Qureshi who took the initiative for the talks.
In August 2022, SY Qureshi, Najeeb Jung, a former lieutenant governor of Delhi, Shahiz Siddiqui, and Syed Sherwani met with Dr Mohan Bhagwat, the RSS Sarsanghchalak. The discussion with Jamaat-e-Islami was a continuation of this. The talks will continue, according to Arif Ali, and the RSS's top officials will take part in the subsequent conversations.
"We raised the mob lynching going on in many parts of the country. The bulldozer politics and the arrest of innocent people were also raised. Meanwhile, RSS raised the Kashi and Mathura mosque issue," Arif Ali said.
