THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: It has been decided in the cabinet meeting to create the post of one environment officer in the pay scale of Rs 56500-118100 and two assistant environment officers in the pay scale of Rs 51400-110300 in the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority (SEIAA).

Appointment

It was decided to appoint VP Subramanian as the MD of State Commission for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes for two years.

Appointment of Special Officer of Kottur Elephant Rehabilitation Centre and Puthoor Zoological Park will be extended till 31.12.2023.

Long-term contract approved

It has been decided to approve the long-term contract for the workers of Forest Industries Travancore Ltd. from 1.07.2017 to 30.06.2022.

Discount on stamp duty

It has been decided to grant stamp duty concession to 8 beneficiaries for land registration in the project of providing land to landless labor families in Nellayi village of Thrissur Parapookkara gram panchayat. Exemption is for those whose annual income is below Rs.2 lakh. Maximum exemption is Rs 90,064. A maximum concession of Rs 22,516 will be given on the registration fee.

It has been decided to include four employees of the Technical Department of Thrissur Development Authority into the Local Self-Government Engineering Service.

Ex-gratia

In Kerala State Coir Corporation Limited, it has been decided to grant ex-gratia for the year 2021-22 to employees who are not eligible for bonus. Rs 14600 is allotted.

KIIFB assistance

KIIFB approved in-principle financing for acquisition of about 70.7 acres of land at a cost of Rs 61.58 crore for development and implementation of economic development zones in Akkulam Kollam section (Reach 2) of West Coast Canal.

Land for 4G saturation project

It has been decided to lease the land to BSNL as per the conditions for implementation of 4G saturation project using Universal Service Obligation Fund (USOF). The land owned by the Government department/Local Self-government/government Institutions in the areas acurrently identified and yet to be selected by the Department of Telecommunications will be provided.
