THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Employee unions have rejected the KSRTC management's suggestion that employees of depots who achieve the monthly target be paid before the 5th of every month and others later.
On Wednesday, the management held a discussion with the representatives of the recognized trade unions to reach a consensus in this regard. Although MD Biju Prabhakar explained in the meeting that more revenue is needed to get rid of the current financial crisis and they are trying to implement the previously fixed target for that, the organizations were not ready to accept it.
The organizations also rejected the management's proposal to distribute the salary partially before the 5th of every month depending on the income and the remaining after getting government assistance. The organizations suggested looking for other ways to increase income. Organizational representatives also raised complaints against single duty. A decision was taken to hold a meeting on February 24 to discuss the grievances regarding the schedules of single duty.
