MUKKAM: A student was brutally beaten by senior students for wearing sunglasses. The assaulted Mohammad Jabir, a first-year biomedical student of KMCT Polytechnic College in Kallathodu, suffered neck and eye injuries. He has sought treatment at a private medical college hospital in Manassery. Mohammad Jabir said that he has filed a complaint with the anti-ragging cell of the college and the Mukkam police. According to the complaint, when Jabir was about to go home after classes, senior students ganged up and beat him up by saying that they had not given him permission to wear glasses.
