THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: This year, a total of 4,19,363 students are appearing for the SSLC exam in 2,960 centres. The exam will start on March 9. IT exams for class 10 started yesterday. 193 people are appearing for the exam in the private category. In Gulf, 518 candidates will appear in eight schools and in Lakshadweep, 289 candidates will appear in eight schools. PKMMHSS school in Edarikode in Malappuram will have the highest number of students appearing for the SSLC exam this year-1,876 students. Meanwhile, only one student will appear for the SSLC exam in HMHSS Randarakkara in Muvattupuzha. Malappuram is the revenue district with the highest number of students appearing for the exam - 77,989. Lowest in Pathanamthitta - 10,218 students. Malappuram is also the educational district with the highest number of students appearing for the exam - 27,328. Lowest in Kuttanad educational district-2,003 students. Compared to last year, the number of children has decreased in all the districts except Palakkad.
