THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Health Minister Veena George said that everyone should take care of their health despite being busy with work and fulfilling responsibilities. The minister was speaking as part of the Viva Kerala campaign (from anaemia to growth).
"During work, many people do feel constant fatigue, headaches, irritability, and lack of enthusiasm. As for children, they don't know how to tell. They may go through conditions such as a lack of attention and falling behind in studies. Anaemia is often a cause of this. This is because the amount of haemoglobin in the blood becomes lower than the specified norms. Hence, everyone should pay attention to their health," the minister said.
"Including iron-rich foods in the diet, including leafy greens, can help correct anaemia. Some anaemia conditions are medical conditions. If it occurs in children, it is likely to harm their intellectual development. Intervention is essential for this. As for women, we often have different priorities at each stage of our lives. We often do not give much consideration to our health and diet in any of these priorities. It is very important to correct anaemia," she added.
