KOZHIKODE: ACP K Sudarshan has said that the family of tribal youth Viswanathan has withdrawn from the demand for a re-postmortem in the case of Viswanathan's suicide in Kozhikode Medical College. ACP also said that the probe team has recorded the statement of Viswanathan's family in the case.

"We are checking the CCTV footage. The footage shows Viswanathan being interrogated by a group of people. The accused can be identified from the footage," ACP Sudarshan said to the media.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi MP has written to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan demanding a fair probe into the mysterious death of Viswanathan. The letter says that there should be a thorough investigation into the matter and justice should be ensured for Viswanathan's bereaved family.
