KOZHIKODE: Minority religious sections including the Muslim league have come to the forefront a bit outraged over the Jamat e Islami Hind – RSS meeting that took place recently. League MLA MK Munir minced no words as he lashed the Jamat leaders for their rare act of camaraderie. "RSS has made the unity of the nation deplete to fragments. The organization upholds the unipolar idea of a single religion dominating the politics and culture of India. The Jamat leaders were too naïve to make small talk by going to the RSS fort. This move issues warning” said MLA Munir.

Other Islamic organizations are also on the same side as Munir. The country now upholds the perception that Muslim lives are teetering on the brink of danger. The latest from Jamat thus is not sure of getting many laurels from the clerics and other reputed sect leaders from Kerala. It was just days before that, Jamat's top leader T Arif Ali revealed to an English national daily about the meeting with RSS.

Smasata views this latest happening as a betrayal from the Jamat leadership. The RSS has long envisioned a move to rope in minority sections to their side, and the current move asserts more about the plan work for the impending 2024 elections. Muslim league top leader PK Kunjalikutty said this is a time for war with RSS, not truce.
