KOZHIKODE: The special investigation team took statements from the relatives of Vishwanathan who committed suicide after being handled by a mob suspecting him of committing robbery.
The relatives stood solid on their previous stand that it was a murder, not suicide. The medical college assistant commissioner Sudarshan meanwhile opened the prospects of doing a re-postmortem if the situation demands. The police on its part received information about the two strangers who stopped and mand handled Vishwanathan near the medical college.
The CCTV visuals have proved handy. The police will also initiate any scientific search and will go ahead with tracing the mobile towers to catch the two involved. The visual also shows 11 people crowded near Viswanathan. The two wanted figures are engaged in talks with Vishwanathan as seen from the visuals. It was on 11th February that Vishwanathan from the tribal community who accompanied his wife for childbirth was manhandled by a mob near the medical college premise.
