ksrtc-salary-payment

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Albeit the protests from the union turning big with no signs of alleviation, the government is adamant in its stance of providing salary just on a term basis to KSRTC employees. Transport minister Antony Raju held meetings with Finance minister KN Balagopal to address the concerns involved.

It is toiling for the employees to wait for nearly a month to get their salaries paid. The government advocates the current move of term basis will help benefit the employees. All urgent financial needs of employees can be made during this first term period. The government earlier asked for testament from employees who are not willing to abide by the new term-basis salary system from the government.

The workers union in the KSRTC started their protest yesterday by burning the effigy of KSRTC MD Biju Prabhakar. Posters and pamphlets insulting Bjiu Prabhakar also appeared across many depots across the state.
