MALAPPURAM: A man, who works as a teacher, has been arrested in Malappuram in a case of unnatural sexual offence against a student. The arrested has been identified as Kunhimoidheen, a native of Munduparambu. The information about sexual abuse came to light during school counseling. After this, the headmaster informed the child line. The accused was later produced in the POCSO court and remanded.

Meanwhile, the accused who was arrested in a POCSO case in Alappuzha tried to commit suicide by slitting his wrist at the police station. Venugopala Kaimal (72) of Thekke Puthukkedam in Karumadi tried to commit suicide at the Ambalapuzha police station. THe said an is a discharged soldier and is staying alone near Ambalapuzha temple on rent. Complaints were raised againstt him that the boys were subjected to unnatural abuse. He was arrested on a complaint lodged by the parents of a boy, a native of Karumadi.
