KOZHIKODE: The police caught a young man who used to steal by riding around on a bike. The arrested has been identified as Daniyas Hamraz KM (19), a native of Kallayi in Kozhikode. Hamraz's method is to the number plate of the bike, use it to roam around and carry out robberies.

Hamraz steals by choosing less traveled roads. After taking off the number plate of the bike, he will ride on the empty road. Recently, the accused snatched the mobile phone from the hand of a child who was walking alone. He was caught by the police last day during the investigation in this case.

After asking a boy who was walking on the road for directions to Nadakkavu, Hamraz went a little further and came back. He stopped the bike near the child, stole the mobile phone he was carrying and sped away. The police registered a case and arrested Hamraz after examining many CCTV footages with the help of the cyber cell.
