PALAKKAD: A man was arrested with 103 litres of other-state liquor in Attapadi. The liquor was hidden in a house in Kallamala Village in the Attappadi tribal taluk, which is a liquor-prohibited zone. The arrested has been identified as 59-year-old Karamadayan, a native of Kookkampalayam's Pullumala. Liquor was seized from his house during a lightning raid conducted by Agli Range Assistant Excise Inspector R Rajith and his team.

During the inspection conducted in the past few days in connection with the Shivratri festival celebrations, the Excise seized more than 50 litres of arrack kept for sale.
