THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Transport Minister Antony Raju on Saturday said that the decision to disburse salaries in installments in KSRTC will not be imposed on the employees. The minister said that the decision was taken by the management and no one should worry about it.

"The government is ready to hold talks with unions if necessary. There is no need to create a controversy in the matter. There is no need to rule out a practical decision. Target has nothing to do with the new pay order and there is no anomaly in the order," Antony Raju said.

"The decision to disburse salaries in two installments cannot be imposed on the employees. Monthly salaries will be provided as a whole to those who want them together. The government had not put forward the proposal of salary according to income. As a minister, I have not put forward any proposal in the matter. It was not the government proposal that came out as an order. The professional board of KSRTC is free to take decisions," he said.
