THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) will again summon C M Ravindran, former additional private secretary to the chief minister, for interrogation in the Life Mission bribery case. The ED is hoping that with the questioning of Ravindran, more things will be clarified about the bigwigs involved in the bribery. Swapna Suresh had also demanded that Ravindran be interrogated again. The ED had taken his statement twice earlier. Ravindran is mentioned in the WhatsApp chats between Sivasankar, now in custody and Swapna Suresh. The remarks are about the transactions in life mission. Reports said that this is why the ED has decided to summon him again.

The ED is trying to get information after interrogating those related to Life Mission along with Sivasankar, has tightened its grip to expand the investigation including to the chief minister's office. The ED is of the view that there is a high political and bureaucratic role in the bribery. Statements are being sought to lead the investigation to them. As part of this, Ravindran will also be questioned along with Sivasankar. The ED estimates that Sivasankar is likely to open his mouth when pressure is tightened. As soon as getting any crucial information, the investigation will turn to bigwigs.

After failing to get significant information or statements from Sivasankar, chartered accountant Venugopal and Life Mission ex-CEO U V Jose were summoned and interrogated. Jose testified that all discussions and actions regarding the construction of Life Flat were under the direct leadership of Sivasankar. Jose openly said that it was Sivasankar who took the initiative to find the contractor. Santhosh Eepan, the contractor and owner of UNITECH, had in his statement to ED stated that bribes were given.
