KASARAGOD: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan strongly criticized the RSS-Jamaat-e-Islami discussion. It should be clarified whether the UDF played any role in the talks with the RSS. Pinarayi said that something mysterious has happened. The Chief Minister was inaugurating the roadshow led by CPM State Secretary MV Govindan at Kumbala in Manjeswaram constituency.

The discussion between Jamaat-e-Islami and RSS was not the brainchild of the Welfare Party or Jamaat-e-Islami alone. The Chief Minister also said that it should be clarified whether the Congress-League-Welfare Party trio has a role in this discussion. A section of the Congress is soft on the RSS and a section of the League is soft on the Jamaat-e-Islami. Welfare Party is aligned with Congress and League in Kerala. A special chemistry has developed between them. What the Jamaat-e-Islami has done, is not something that the minority generally cares about. Everyone asks what they have to talk about. A faction led by the League led the Welfare Coalition. This was opposed by many within the league. Ignoring it, Jamaat-e-Islami took the stand to be with it, CM said.

Pinarayi Vijayan handed over the flag to the march captain at the function. State Secretariat member PK Biju is the manager of the march and Central Committee member CS Sujatha, State Secretariat member M Swaraj, Jaick C Thomas and KT Jaleel MLA are permanent members.
