THIRUVANATHAPURAM: The long-babbled Sandeepanandagiri’s ashram burning case leads to new plots. It is suspected that the gang found suspicious has been arrested by the crime branch here on Monday. The Kundamankadavu natives who were arrested are presently being drilled by the crime branch. However, insider details tell that the police have yet not confirmed their involvement in the crime. The incident happened in 2018 when four vehicles parked on the car porch were set aflame by unknowns in the dead of the night. The estimated loss back then was rounded as more than Rs 50 crores.

The incident sparked a political debate and remained hooked as a template for trolls for the dubious claims and allegations made. It is after a shocking four years that the crime branch has pushed further to catch the assailants. One Krishna Kumar caught by the crime branch has admitted to placing a wreath written “Condolences to Shibu swamy” on the day of the incident. But the police are still ambiguous about the authenticity of the claims.
