HARIPAD: A complaint has been lodged against a DYFI block leader for hitting SFI area president with his bike and for attacking her. Chinnu, also union vice-chairperson of Kerala University was attacked.

Chinnu said the DYFI block vice-president hit her with his bike and then beat her. The incident took place near Mundoli Temple in Kumarapuram at around 5.15 pm yesterday. Chinnu, who suffered head and body injuries, sought treatment at the Haripad Taluk Hospital.

Chinnu and a few girls had filed a complaint against the DYFI leader to the CPM area leadership and the DYFI district committee. The attack took place while the commission appointed by DYFI was investigating the complaint. The police said Chinnu has not filed a complaint in the incident.
