KOZHIKODE: Two youths are in custody for gang-raping a nursing student after intoxicating her. They were taken into custody on the complaint filed by the third-year nursing student from Ernakulam, studying in Kozhikode. She had stated that two of her friends sexually abused her. Their arrests will be recorded after a detailed interrogation. They were hiding in the city. The two were taken into custody after tracking their mobile location.

The accused are also natives of Ernakulam. All three were friends. One of the accused is staying in a rented house in the city. The accused invited the girl to his house on Saturday night. The girl in her statement to the police mentioned that she was given liquor and abused.

The next day, the accused abandoned her near the KSRTC bus stand and left the place. She later called her friend and went to the hospital first and then went home. The incident came to light when she was subjected for counselling after her teachers got suspicious of her behavior. The accused were taken into custody in the case registered by the Kasaba police.
