THRISSUR: A complaint has been raised against a police officer for an alleged attempt to insult the modesty of a woman. The complaint lodged with the city police commissioner is against the civil police officer of the Mannuthy station. The said incident happened on Sunday afternoon.

A five-member police team reached the woman's house in search of her son. At this time, she was in the bathroom. As per the complaint, a police officer kicked the main door open and tried to insult the woman. It is also said that the policeman went out when the woman made noise. The woman's husband and son were not at home at the time of the incident.

The woman has requested to file a case against the policeman. The woman said she would file a complaint with the Chief Minister and the Human Rights Commission.
