THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The intelligence head TK Vinodkumar foreshadowed doubts about an impending religious cum political riot to happen in the state. The warning came during the meeting called among the higher officials in the police force. The festival season in temples will be heavily scrutinized. The police officers involved in bonhomie with gang criminals will be served punitive actions. To ensure the proper working of police stations, a senior officer will soon shuttle inspection in irregular hours at the station.

The police chief Anil Kant also made certain orders in the meeting. The emergency call to 112 will be attended to at a fast pace to meet the concerns. The SP will head a meeting every week to look into the pending warrants in stations. The BUDS ACT will see a reemergence and will be strongly used against tainted officers in service. The remote and dingy areas in the city will be heavily patrolled. To avoid accidents to commuters on the road, parking on footpaths will be banned. With the helping hand and cooperation from the residents association, more CCTV cameras will be installed on the streets. The actions against illegal drugs in the state will go strong with no lenience to the culprits.
