Are companies responsible?
Mayor M Anilkumar said that the corporation is cutting the illegal cables laid in the city. In cases where passengers get entangled in cables, the companies that installed those cables are responsible. Several meetings were held and BSNL and other organizations were asked to remove unnecessary cables. But no one took action. Matters related to this have been pointed out before the Minister of Electricity. The mayor also stated that the corporation will not back down if there is a demand for compensation.
