PATHANAMTHITTA: The CPI, in its state executive, has been decided to initiate a party-level inquiry against CPI Pathanamthitta District Secretary AP Jayan on disproportionate assets acquistion complaint. There will be a four-member commission for the investigation. CPI state executive members KK Ashraf, R Rajendran, CK Sasidharan and P Vasantham are members of the inquiry commission.
The investigation is on the complaint of CPI leader Srinadevi Kunjamma, who is a district panchayat member in Pathanamthitta. Earlier, in the same complaint against AP Jayan, the investigation conducted by the state executive members KK Ashraf had found that there was substance in the allegation. A detailed investigation was announced after this.
Complaints have been raised that AP Jayan that he has not only demanded a bribe of Rs 3 lakh to give membership to Srinadevi at the panchayat but also started a dairy farm. The state executive has asked a four-member commission to investigate and submit a report.
